As the fall 2016 couture runway collections hit the storefronts, it’s the perfect time to add a few trends to your closet with the latest looks. You can incorporate the most haute couture trends into your personal style by learning how to turn each piece from runway to Reno.

There are three strong groups of on-trend collections this season.

Texture is key to creating a stylish look. Velvet, brocade and glossy leathers were most popular on the runways and are perfect additions to any wardrobe. Play with texture is the quickest way to make a solid color outfit come to life. Black head to toe becomes chic when mixing in contrasting textures.

Jackets are the icing for every outfit. Structured capes, thick shearling and the puffy nylon coats are staples for a stylish fall/winter wardrobe and will stay current for years to come.

Casual chic is the theme of three other of the biggest looks for fall. Your own street style can go sporty, biker chic or apres ski by adding athletic apparel, dark leathers or chunky sweaters. It is all about comfort in these casual looks.

Here are three of the biggest trends of the season that you can find locally and how to wear them off the runway in your everyday life.
